Project Description:

More than 50 buildings and structures, overall area of more than 80,000 m2; Transfer Slab area more than 50,000 m2; Finger Pier – 300 m; 8 substations to provide about 32 MVA to the Yard; Approx. 50 km of cabling; Approx. 40 km of piping

Baku Shipyard Project Details:

  • Circa 60,000 drawings sheets (Encotec)
  • 50+ buildings (Encotec +subcontractors)  and structures total floor space around 80,000 m²:
    • Office – 6000 sq.m. – 4.5 story building, equipped with Building Management System
    • Canteen/Locker Room/ Shower Room/Medical Center – 4500 sq.m, 2.5 story building
    • Surveyors’ Office – 4500 sq.m, 4 story building
    • Training Center – 2000 sq.m
    • Number of workshops and storage facilities
  • Transfer Slab 50,000 m² (Encotec + subcontractors)
  • Finger Pier – 300 m (Encotec + subcontractors)
  • 8 substations to provide approximately 32 MVA to the facility - 110 kV/10kV/0.4 kV (Encotec + Subcontractor/suppliers)
  • 50 km of cabling around the site (Encotec + subcontractors)
  • 40 km of piping around the site (Encotec + subcontractors)
  • Project Time: Start – November 2011; Finish – September 2013
  • Design Time: Started – November 2011 Finish – March 2013

Baku Shipyard Project ENCOTEC scope:

  • Detail design
  • Adaptation of RH design in places where those were not appropriate to local standards and practice;
  • Obtaining State Approvals for design;
  • Author supervisory role during construction (statutory requirement);
  • Review and approvals of proposed procurement packages by subcontractors / agreeing the procurement with client;
  • Development of shop drawings / review of shop drawings prepared by other subcontractors;
  • Project Management / Client Interface;
  • Construction Management;
  • Site Engineering;
  • Construction Supervision;
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control;
  • Reporting / Issuing monthly /weekly progress reports;
