Project Title: Design of Halliburton New Base in Aktau Kazakhstan

Project Description:

Encotec were required to produce engineering designs and specifications for the New Base located in Aktau, Kazakhstan, in compliance with local Kazakhstan codes and Halliburton standards.

The following disciplines were involved during the design process: Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunications and Piping. Encotec were further tasked with obtaining all necessary permits for construction purposes.

Presented below is an overview of the full services provided by Encotec during the project period:

  • Property surveys (Legal Boundary Survey, Topographical Survey, Geotechnical Investigations and Utilities Survey);
  • Feasibility study;
  • Schematic design;
  • Design development; and
  • Construction documents and construction administration.

The New Base is being built over 7.6 hectares and includes the following buildings and infrastructure:

  • Administration Building
  • Warehouse
  • Workshop
  • Wash bays
  • Acid plant
  • Gun loading facilities & explosive bunker
  • Radioactive storage
  • Infrastructure
